Gravel riding near Derby
/Derby is a world class destination for MTB riding, but it is also forging a reputation as a great place to base yourself if you want to explore the dirt and gravel roads of NE Tasmania. Riding through tranquil forests on well made dirt provides road cyclists with a great alternative to mixing it with cars and traffic. Rides in the area vary between 20-80km with something for the experienced or new gravel rider.
Heading out of Derby in either direction takes you towards a range of great gravel riding destinations including the famous (and well photographed) Jacobs Ladder.
